What You’ll Do as a Caregiver

As part of our team, you will provide essential support to seniors and adults with disabilities, helping them live safely, comfortably, and independently in their homes. Your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting clients with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship.
  • Following each client’s personalized care plan precisely.
  • Maintaining accurate visit records using our EVV mobile app.
  • Delivering reliable, patient, and compassionate care at every visit.

Who We’re Looking For

We seek caregivers who are dependable, self-motivated, and ready to take charge of their schedules while providing high-quality care:

  • Reliable and punctual, ready to show up for scheduled shifts.
  • Self-starters capable of managing clients’ schedules independently.
  • Able to follow instructions and complete tasks without constant supervision.
  • Committed to our zero-tolerance attendance policy: missing shifts without notice is not allowed.
  • Willing to complete a 60-day probation period at the start of employment.
  • Comfortable with biweekly or monthly pay, depending on client assignments.

Hiring Instructions

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: To ensure our staff can focus on our current clients, we do not accept phone calls regarding the status of applications. If you call our office to ask if we have received your application, or to ask if we have found a client for you yet, your application will be automatically discarded. Please follow the steps below exactly as written.

Step 1: The Online Application

  • Where to go: The first step of our hiring process is to complete our agency application located at nowhiringcaregivers.com. Be sure to hit "Submit" once your application is completed. You will receive a notification if your application was submitted properly. 
  • How to get there: Do not type this into a Google search bar. Click the link above, the 'Start Application' button below, or type it directly into the Address Bar (the long white bar at the very top of your internet browser) and hit "Enter."
  • Why? We use a mobile app to manage schedules. If you are unable to locate the application website, you will not qualify for this position.
  • Action: Fill out the application completely. We use this information to match you with clients near you.

Step 2: The CHAMPS Registration (Crucial Step)

In Michigan, all caregivers must be registered in CHAMPS. We hire you before we have a client ready, so you can finish this process, as it takes time.

  • Who to call: You must call CHAMPS directly. We cannot help you with this part.
    • Phone: (800) 979-4662
    • Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Closed Holidays).
  • Requirements:
    • You must be on a Computer or Tablet. The CHAMPS website does not work on cell phones.
    • Ask the representative to help you complete your application over the phone.
    • Write down your Application ID number in case you need to follow up with them later.
  • Linking to Us: Tell the representative you are applying with "Always Reliable Care." They will ask for our ID numbers. Give them these:
    • Provider ID: 5991734
    • NPI: 1619763661
  • Already have a CHAMPS ID? You STILL need to call them. You must provide them with our ID numbers above to "associate" your existing ID with our agency. If you do not do this, we cannot hire you.

Step 3: The Waiting Period

  • Do not call us. If you are approved or denied, you will receive a letter in the mail. We will receive the same notification.
  • If you are denied: We cannot hire you. There is no need to contact us.
  • If you haven't heard back: If two weeks pass and you have no letter, call CHAMPS (not us) and give them the Application ID you wrote down in Step 2.

Step 4: Client Placement

Once you are approved in CHAMPS and associated with our agency, we will contact you when we have a client match.

  • We hire in anticipation of new clients. Once a client signs up, we must start service within 48 hours, so you must be "ready to go."
  • Please be patient. If you contact us repeatedly asking for a client, it shows you cannot follow our process, and we will remove you from our active hiring list.
